Rexar applies a consistent product identification and traceability system to its Chemical Reference Materials and Analytical Chemicals.
The purpose of this system is to provide clear product identification and to maintain traceability between the supplied material, its packaging and the associated technical documentation.
Products are identified using the available chemical identity information, which may include:
Product name
The name under which the material is supplied by Rexar.
Chemical name
The chemical or systematic name used to further identify the substance.
CAS Registry Number
Where applicable, the CAS number is provided as an additional chemical identifier.
Molecular formula and molecular weight
These properties are included in the Technical Datasheet where available and relevant.
Chemical identity information can be found on the product page, product label and/or associated technical documentation.
Rexar products are assigned a batch identifier where applicable.
The batch identifier provides a reference between the supplied product and the corresponding inventory and product records maintained by Rexar.
Batch information is printed on the product label when applicable.
Products may display a Packed on date. This indicates when the material was packed into its final Rexar packaging.
A packed-on date should not be interpreted as an expiry date unless an expiry date is explicitly stated separately.
Technical documentation is available for Rexar Chemical Reference Materials and Analytical Chemicals and may include:
Technical Datasheet
Chemical identity and relevant technical product information.
Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
Information concerning identification, hazards where applicable, handling, storage, transport and other safety-related information.
Documents can be accessed from the individual product pages or through the Technical Documentation library.
Technical documents are maintained separately from the physical product label and may be updated when product information, regulatory information or document formatting changes.
Users should therefore always refer to the most recent version of the relevant document available through the Rexar website.
Rexar Chemical Reference Materials and Technical Compounds are supplied for laboratory, analytical, research and professional applications only.
They are not supplied for human or animal consumption and are not intended for use as food, food supplements, cosmetics, medicines, diagnostic products or therapeutic products.
For questions concerning the identification or documentation of a supplied Rexar product, please contact us and include the product name, batch number and order number where available.
